How to improve students learning skills?
How can we help students to remain engaged?
Is visual aid beneficial in improving students learning?
Over the years, I observed students enjoy using visual aids, animations, and hands-on activities. These resources boost students' ability to be more active in their education.
Visual aids provide students with pictures to use as references to master new material. Some excellent visual aids students can use are creating posters, cut-out projects, and drawing.
Animations are a tool that can increase students' interest in learning. Many students are interested in watching anime which is an excellent connection to use in the classroom. In my classes, I will use animations to increase students' engagement. Students are more focused, increased classroom participation and motivation in class. As a teacher, this was amazing to see the students smiling and enjoying learning.
These tools are essential in school, but parents can use these tools in homes!
Print out diagrams of the material your child is learning and post them in the house.
In the morning, quiz your child while eating breakfast to refreshing their memories. For instance, when I drive my niece to school, I love to ask her small math questions to test her knowledge. A good example is reviewing timetables.
To motivate your child to read, try doing a reading competition. You and your child will start reading the book on the same day. The goal is to push your child to feel motivated and eager to read more. This activity is a great way to stimulate their brains and build a conversation.
